I

Cameron Stephenson
May 29, 1987 - August 11, 2005
I have been chilling over the summer since it appeared everyone else was. But with 3 events coming up in September, I realized it was time to place an order for more books. So if you've yet to purchase one, I have plenty in stock now.
I honestly hope I can get an e-book created this week. The formatting has to be just so, therefore I have some learning to do. I don't want to cheat anyone out of the photos that are inside. I'll let everyone know when I get that accomplished - or not.
I recently discovered a book that I have yet to delve into, "The Unexpected Legacy of Divorce - The 25 Year Landmark Study" by Judith S. Wallerstein. The study is about how children fare after their parents divorce. I have this gut feeling that teens who suicide most often come from divorced parents, no matter their age when the divorce occurs. I fight for parents to stay married until their kids can handle the mental anguish that comes with the territory.
I'm also starting to gear up for the 3rd Wake Forest Out of the Darkness walk! It's on Saturday, November 13th. I'll have books there to sell (or someone will for me as I'll be running around making sure everyone is having a good time.). If you've lost someone to suicide, this walk is very heartwarming. There will be several memorial type activities as well as the walk through lovely downtown Wake Forest. More on this later - just hope you can come.
This coming Wednesday is the 5th year anniversary of losing Cameron - my inspiration for the book and my mission of saving teens. Also informing people about mental illness and substance abuse. I miss him terribly and he's so much on my mind during the month of August, as you can imagine. I will love him forever and patiently wait until it's time for me to see him again on the other side.
Keep your fingers crossed for me on all accounts!
